Imagine a warm summer day spent in the park, surrounded by the energy of live music, the smell of fresh food, and the sound of people connecting and enjoying the moment. Mimosas in the Park is more than just an event, it is a celebration of community, local culture, and the experience of being outside together. Whether you are coming for the music, the shopping, the food, or simply to relax, there is something here for everyone.

Event Overview

Mimosas in the Park returns on August 29, 2026 for its third year at Theis Park in Kansas City. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, guests are invited to enjoy a full day built around live music, wellness, local vendors, food, and interactive drink experiences.

This year’s event is completely free to attend, creating an open and welcoming environment for the entire community. The experience is designed to allow guests to move freely throughout the park, explore different areas, and spend the day at their own pace.

The day will naturally build from a relaxed and easygoing morning into a lively afternoon filled with music, movement, and connection.

Live Music and Entertainment

Live music will be featured throughout the entire day, showcasing local artists across a variety of styles and sounds. From smooth and relaxed sets in the morning to more upbeat performances in the afternoon, the music will carry the energy of the event from start to finish.

The full music lineup will be announced soon.

Mimosas and Mocktails Experience

This year’s theme focuses on mimosas and mocktails, creating a drink experience that is both fun and inclusive. Guests can enjoy a range of refreshing options, whether they are looking for a classic mimosa or a creative non-alcoholic alternative.

The drink experience is designed to be a central part of the event, giving people a place to gather, try something new, and enjoy the atmosphere.

Food Court

A dedicated food court will feature a wide variety of local food vendors, offering more options than ever before. From quick bites to full meals, the goal is to make it easy for guests to stay and enjoy the event all day without needing to leave.

The food court is designed to keep lines moving while still offering quality and variety.

Local Vendors

Supporting local businesses remains a core part of Mimosas in the Park. The vendor lineup is carefully curated to bring together a strong mix of brands, products, and experiences.

We have worked closely with our vendors leading up to the event, collaborating on promotion, preparation, and overall experience. This is not just a vendor market, but a coordinated effort to showcase some of the best local businesses in Kansas City.

Yoga and Wellness

Yoga and wellness activations will take place earlier in the day, giving guests a chance to start their morning with movement and intention before exploring the rest of the event.

Kids Area

A dedicated kids area will be available featuring coloring, bubbles, and open space for kids to play. This area is completely free and helps make the event accessible and enjoyable for families.

Relax and Unwind

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and enjoy the open park space. Expanded lounge and seating areas will also be available throughout the event and are free for all attendees.

The goal is to create an environment where people can slow down, connect, and enjoy the day in a comfortable and welcoming setting.

Getting There

Parking will be available at UMKC within walking distance of the event.

Guests are also encouraged to ride the Kansas City Streetcar and exit at the Plaza stop, followed by a short walk to Theis Park.

Thank you for your interest in being a part of Mimosas in the Park. As the event continues to grow, we are focused on creating a more intentional, high-quality experience for both our vendors and attendees.

We encourage vendors to apply early, as priority consideration is given to applications submitted before May 1.

Vendor Curation & Category Balance

We intentionally limit the number of vendors within the same category to create a better experience for both vendors and attendees.

Because of this, certain categories may fill quickly. We strongly encourage vendors to apply early to secure consideration within their category.

New Vendors Welcome

If this is your first vendor market, we still encourage you to apply.

We are always looking to bring in new businesses and help vendors grow. If selected, we are happy to connect you with other vendors or provide resources to help you prepare for this event and future events.

Application Requirements

To be considered, all vendors must submit the following:

• Business logo
• At least one clear photo of your product
• Photos of your booth setup (if available)
• Active social media or website link

Applications with strong visuals and complete information will be prioritized during review.

What We Are Looking For

We are intentionally curating this event. Not all applicants will be accepted.

We are looking for vendors who:
• Offer high-quality, unique products or services
• Have a clean and professional setup
• Align with our target audience
• Are willing to actively promote the event
• Want to grow their brand and be part of a strong vendor community

Vendor Expectations

As we continue to grow, we are raising the standard across the event.

All accepted vendors will be required to:

• Attend one required vendor meeting
(Virtual or in-person option available)

• Complete a vendor profile questionnaire
(Used for marketing and storytelling)

• Actively promote the event
(We will provide graphics and guidance)

• Maintain a clean and professional booth setup

• Participate in the overall experience, not just show up to sell

Our goal is to create an environment where vendors succeed, connect, and grow.

Pre-Event Opportunities

Selected vendors may be invited to participate in pre-events leading up to Mimosas in the Park.

These opportunities are designed to:
• Build excitement ahead of the main event
• Give vendors additional exposure
• Allow attendees to engage with vendors early

Setup, Parking & Event Flow

We have adjusted the event timeline to improve setup conditions and overall flow.

Vendors will have extended setup time prior to doors opening. Final load-in times and logistics will be provided upon acceptance.

Please note:

Parking will require walking a distance to the event site. Vendors should plan accordingly for load-in and load-out.

This allows us to:
• Reduce congestion near the event
• Improve the guest experience
• Create a more organized setup process

Event Attendance

We anticipate approximately 1,000 attendees for Mimosas in the Park 2026, based on previous years and continued growth.

With expanded marketing efforts, pre-event activations, and increased community engagement, we expect this year to be our largest event to date.

Final Note

Mimosas in the Park is continuing to grow, and we are building something that benefits everyone involved. This only works if we hold a high standard across the board.

If selected, you are not just a vendor. You are part of the experience.
